Two AI companies valued at $1.5 Billion. Stability AI (makers of Stable Diffusion) and just announced Jasper - writing tool, raised $101M and $125m, respectively. These are astronomical numbers! We've hopefully got an interview with Jasper CEO coming this week.
I got access to Lex, the writing tool I talked about yesterday and used it to write this email. Although I don't use any tools to actually write the snippets. So I like it but not using its AI potential yet.

Image → prompt. We’ve all done it the other way around. Now you can generate a prompt by feeding it an image (Stable Diffusion). Shout-out to Bens Bites reader Clayton for surfacing this.
Comedians Tom Segura and Bert Kreischer have a podcast 2 Bears, 1 Cave and in their latest episode, they use AI to generate portraits of each of them. They’re pretty funny!
Another tool to help you with generating prompts! I saw this demo a few days ago and said it should be a product for others to use, and to his credit, Michael got it done. It’s live and this is what it looks like:

This article has been making the rounds (I should’ve included it in yesterday’s email, whoops). PhotoRoom is able to generate marketing images for any product using stable diffusion. The example is: capture this car toy & prompt “a photo of this car driving a scenic mountain road”.
DiffLinker is now on Hugging Face. Given a set of disconnected fragments in 3D, it places missing atoms in between and designs a molecule incorporating all the initial fragments.

Jasper.ai raised $125M funding led by global software investor Insight Partners and joined by other leading firms including Coatue, Bessemer Venture Partners, IVP, Foundation Capital, Founders Circle Capital, HubSpot Ventures and more.
