Amazon's AI for sellers
PLUS: Understanding the world, Photorealistic images from Meta and LLM evaluation
Hello folks, here’s what we have today;
Our picks
1/
Amazon offers sellers AI tools to write product descriptions. Amazon is releasing its first LLM tool outside of its cloud services, and it’s for sellers to write product descriptions. They are using this to improve their internal operations and the e-commerce marketplace.
2/
Andrew NG, in his recent letter, mentions that LLMs build sufficiently complex models of the world, which can be referred to as understanding the world to some extent. The rest of this issue from Deep Learning features some great reads on AI, including AI matching humans in breast cancer diagnosis, diffusion transformers, and the financial cost of querying ChatGPT vs Google Search.
3/
LlamaIndex introduces one-click observability. Building LLMs in production need the ability to easily observe/evaluate them. LlamaIndex now allows you to connect with multiple evaluation tools like Weights and Biases, Arize AI, OpenInference, and TruLens. With one line of code, you can view LLM/prompt inputs/outputs and call traces for both indexing and querying.
(ps: I’m an investor)
4/
Photorealistic unreal graphics by Meta Research. Meta has released three different datasets named - PUG: Animals, PUG: ImageNet, and PUG: SPAR. The crazy thing is that these datasets are synthetically generated using Unreal Engine. The PUG datasets are only for model evaluation and benchmarks only. The license doesn’t allow training generative models using these datasets.
