Learn how to analyze SEO keyword data

AI isn't your copywriter—it's your co-thinker. It won’t generate the perfect blog or website copy for you. Instead, it will get you off a blank page. Think of it like a research assistant & strategist.

You can partner with Claude, use SEO keyword data from Semrush and analyze important factors for your content creation process.

Step 1. Set up Semrush and access keyword data

Sign up for Semrush, navigate to the Keyword Overview tool, and generate a report for your target keyword. Export the PDF report for analysis with Claude.

Step 2. Analyze and interpret the data

Upload the Semrush PDF report to a Claude chat. Now, with specific prompts, you can

  • Analyze key metrics like search volume and competition.

  • Find user intent from top phrases that match keywords.

  • Evaluate organic search results, ad copy and more.

an example prompt for visualizing keyword data.

Once, you’re done exploring the data, use AI to

  • Generate comprehensive SEO insights and recommendations

  • Create a targeted content strategy based on the analysis

Tip: You can do it inside a Claude Project and use multiple chats to go from analysis to the end content piece.

This walkthrough is a condensed version of this tutorial. Check it out for one-click copyable prompts and more detailed steps.
