Learn how to create an FAQ Bot with Zapier

A basic chatbot with external files is still the most demanded AI need. Resurfacing an old tutorial from our catalog to create a powerful FAQ bot without breaking a sweat.

Step 1. Set up your Zapier chatbot

You simple start by creating a new chatbot in Zapier. Give the chatbot clear instructions on how to handle FAQ queries. This is where you define its personality and purpose.

Step 2. Build your knowledge base

You can now connect your company data with this chatbot.

  • Create a Zapier table to store your existing FAQ data

  • Structure your table with questions and answers

  • Import existing FAQ data or add it manually

  • Link your FAQ table to the chatbot as a knowledge source

  • Test your chatbot's responses, especially on custom queries which aren’t directly answered in your FAQs.

  • Share the chatbot with others when you’re happy with the responses.

Tip: You can also use PDF files instead of tables. in any case, you should update your knowledge base periodically to make sure it’s not outdated.
