reminder: our daily updated blog has more details. Day 9 is a mini-dev day, what are you expecting?

Learn how to chat with your CRM data in Slack

Switching between Slack and your CRM to find customer information is a hassle, especially during back-to-back client meetings. This tutorial shows how to build an AI bot that lets you chat with your Salesforce data right from Slack.

Step 1. Set up your workspace

Start by creating a Lindy AI account and connecting it to your Slack workspace. Pick a dedicated channel where you want to interact with your CRM data.

Step 2. Create your CRM assistant

  • Connect your Salesforce account to give the AI access to your CRM data

  • Set up an AI agent with specific Salesforce querying capabilities

  • Add skills like searching contacts, accounts, and opportunities

  • Configure the Slack messaging system for AI responses

  • Test different types of questions to ensure accurate responses

  • Fine-tune the AI's response format based on your needs

Tip: When setting up filters, make sure to exclude bot messages from triggering new responses—this prevents infinite loops in your Slack channel.

This walkthrough is a condensed version of chat with CRM data. Check it out for step-by-step instructions with screenshots.
