Bing AI on Chrome and Mobile

PLUS: Zoom's AI training and customer consent.

Hello folks,

Q: Running an AI indie product that's making $$$? How did you come up with your idea? let me know here.

here’s what we have today;

 Our picks

1/

Bing with AI is now 6 months old and Microsoft has some new plans for it. Bing Chat will now be available in any browser, not just Edge, including mobile browsers. They are not leaving Edge behind though. Using Bing AI in other browsers comes with harder limits, like 5 messages instead of 30 in Edge and 2000 character responses instead of 3000.

2/

Zoom can now train its AI using some customer data—with customer consent. The fine-print is that when you enable Zoom’s generative AI features, you need to sign a consent form allowing Zoom to use individual data for “training purposes.”

Zoom says that it’s to improve the performance and accuracy of their generative AI services and individual data will not be used for training of any third-party models. Things still seem blurry here because there’s no clear opt-out option.

Alex MacCaw (Clearbit and Reflect notes) has built 101.school. It uses GPT-4 to create multi-week courses and send regular lessons via email. You can choose any topic you’re interested in and create your own course.

Most online learning resources fall short of the structure of a traditional curriculum. I saw some of 101 School’s courses, and I think it does a good job of building that structured curriculum, even for topics like Scuba Diving or Buddhism.
