1.  AI Scientist by Sakana AI - Can AI discover new science? Sakana AI built an AI (based on LLMs) that does open-ended exploration and finds research ideas. It then tries to implement them, writes a paper (in <$15), and reviews it as well. 2. Universal Music and Meta just inked a multi-year deal. The agreement expands their partnership across Meta's platforms, including WhatsApp for the first time. No specific deets are revealed but it promises fair compensation for artists, tackles AI-generated content concerns, and opens up new monetization opportunities.

3. Cosine's Genie smashes the SWE-Bench record. This AI software engineering model scored 30.08% on the SWE-Bench, a 57% improvement over the previous best. They trained on proprietary data mimicking how human software engineers think and solve a problem—leading to much better performance than prompt engineering.
