Evaluating the fairness of computer vision models. Meta releases FACET - A new benchmark dataset to help evaluate and improve fairness in vision models. It consists of 32K images, labeled by expert annotators for demographic & physical attributes. Also, it’s releasing a new, expanded license (Apache 2.0) for our DINOv2 model.

US Copyright Office wants to hear what people think about AI and copyright. The public comment period has started from August 30th. The agency wants to answer three main questions:
How AI models should use copyrighted data in training?
Whether AI-generated material can be copyrighted even without a human involved
How copyright liability would work with AI?
