Wonder how Stack Overflow will compete with ChatGPT and other tools that can write code for you? They’ve announced OverflowAI, a package of AI tools integrated into the site. The main component uses AI to find and cite the perfect community-led answers for a user’s use case; it’s also integrating with VSCode to let users directly query and generate code.

Adobe’s new Generative Expand in Photoshop uses image generation AI to let users expand existing images. If there’s a bit of a pic missing, if it isn’t centred correctly, or if you just wanna make it bigger, the tool will use AI to help you do it. Official post with examples here.

Shopify’s AI sidekick is now live. Sidekick is a help bot that knows how to do anything within Shopify—pull out relevant numbers, implement something new, or create reports.

Sidekick is part of a bigger suite of AI tools under Shopify Magic, which can answer questions, create blog posts, product descriptions, etc.

Artifact, the app that’s quickly becoming everyone’s favourite personalised news service, is throwing a text-to-speech tool in there. Partnering with Speechify, it’ll allow you to listen to news articles in natural-sounding voices, and it’ll keep going whilst you continue to scroll. It even has two celeb voices: Snoop Dogg and Gwyneth Paltrow…
