PLUS: Salesforce got more money for AI and Meta is getting groovy
Hey folks, I don’t want to make this about me, but you all hear about my personal escapades…
Meet Arabella & Maximilian 😍
Everyone is extremely happy and healthy!
Right, today we have the UK government announcing that they’ll get access to top AI models for safety and research.
Salesforce is doing some AI rebranding and adding more money to its Generative AI fund. Our friends from Meta are making open-source music to get as all dancing.
Let’s get to it.

Hold onto your hats, Salesforce is on the move! They're putting a shiny new badge on their AI toolkit, rebranding it as “AI Cloud.” I reckon that's a slick move, adds a little pizzazz to the whole shebang, don't you think? With that, they're gearing up to unveil a fresh batch of AI features this summer, which has got me on the edge of my seat.
The cherry on top? They're going big or going home, doubling their Generative AI fund announced in March to a whopping $500 million. Somebody's feeling generous, eh?
Un-paywalled here.

Well, well, well, if it isn't the big three of AI: OpenAI, DeepMind, and Anthropic cozying up to the UK for some AI safety research. The Brits must be feeling pretty chuffed about that.
UK's head honcho, PM Rishi Sunak, spilled the beans that these tech titans are cracking open their AI models for the UK government to have a gander, all in the name of evaluating risks and opportunities. Now, that's what I call a special relationship!
I've gotta say, it's a pretty clever move. Get the government on your side, let them poke around your AI, and maybe they'll give you a thumbs up on the safety front. Plus, it's a bit of a PR win, don't you think?

Sounds like Meta's giving Google a run for its money in the AI melody mashup. Now, who's got the popcorn?
Meta's throwing its hat in the AI-powered music ring with its own tune-tastic tool, MusicGen. And as they are doing with everything AI: it’s open source. That’s what I call a power move.
The model works similarly to others generating about 12 seconds of music from the text description. You can also use existing songs to give it a sense of your vibe.
