The White House's 'AI Cyber Challenge' aims to crowdsource national security solutions. DARPA, the US defence research agency has launched an AI challenge with Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, Microsoft, Defcon and OpenSSF to find vulnerabilities in federal software systems. There’s $20 million in prize money and $7 million in resources for small teams who want to compete. It’s a two-year development program, more deets in the article above.

Vimeo launches one-take video creation. Vimeo’s launching AI-powered editing features. One of them is Descript like video editing via text. You can remove filler words and cut video by deleting text. The others are an AI-powered script generator and a teleprompter on your screen while you’re recording.

Stanford Smallville is officially open-source! Smallville is a simulation of 25 AI agents living together in a world. These agents behave like humans—go to work, gossip, organize socials, make new friends, and even fall in love.
